The Bachelor 22 Episode #7 Recap (Spoilers!!!)

Hi guys,

Sorry this update is a little late. It’s been a busy week! Let’s get right to it:

Arie and the girls head to Tuscany this week. Chris Harrison is there, to justify his employment, umm, I mean tell us that there will be no rose ceremony this week. Instead there are 3 one-on-one dates and one dreaded group date!

Date #1:

•  Becca K gets the first one-on-one
• Arie pulled up in a classic car to collect her. 15 Points
• They head to a little town and buy picnic supplies
•  They decided that sitting precariously close to the ledge of the building was the best place to make out.

•  

• Becca got a rose and is heading to hometowns 35 Points

Drama between dates:

• Jacqueline says she’s not feeling good, and has swirling doubts.
• She cries while talking to Kendall (who has become the quasi-therapist of this season) -2 Points
• She cried again when the 2^nd date card was read -2 Points
• She visits Arie in his hotel room 20 Points
• She grabbed Arie’s glass and announced that she needs a sip of his wine. Arie awkwardly laughs, takes the cup from her and says, “here let me pour you your own glass”

• 

• She tells Arie that she’s not confident in her feelings and that she needs to go, and continues to paw all over him. If you’re leaving, just leave. Why do you have to drag it out like that?

• 
•  
• Finally, after what felt like 12 hours of cuddling/”oh I must go!”/more cuddling, etc.. she finally actually left. BYE!! -25 Points
•  Jacqueline did a whole lot of crying when she was talking to Arie (-2 Points) and during her exit interview (-2 Point)
• Kendall cried when Jacqueline left -2 Points

Date #2:

•  Lauren and Arie bike around a little Italian town
• Well, this date was about as entertaining as their Paris date last week. ZZZZZZZZZ… SHE’S. SO. BOOOOORING!!!
• Arie and Lauren join in an impromptu (and totally not staged by the producers, to drum up a little action from these pieces of cardboard) soccer game. How convenient, these local children were there, in this very courtyard, waiting for two dull American adults to challenge them to a scrimmage. What spontaneous fun!
• At supper, Lauren doesn’t really say anything. Arie’s voice over can be heard, agonizing over the lack of connection he has with Lauren.
• Then Lauren says she’s “falling for Arie” and suddenly Arie is all gung-ho and gives her the rose. Really? Is that all it takes?
•  Lauren teared up as she was talking to Arie about her feelings -2 Points
•  Lauren is headed to hometowns 35 Points

Date #3:

• Seinne and Arie go truffle hunting. Arie said he “can dig Seinne, but can he dig deep enough?

•  

• Giulio the truffle hunter invites them back to his home for a meal.
• Seinne and Arie seem to have great chemistry and conversation. But she didn’t say the magic words “falling for you” so I guess Arie’s not allowed to take her to hometowns.
• Seinne gets eliminated at the end of the date -25 Points

Date #4:

• The group date has Bekha, Tia and Kendall on it
•  Tia keeps obsessing about the fact that Bekha is 22 years old and doesn’t think she’s serious about the process
• Tia tells Arie this, in an attempt to keep herself safe and sway Arie’s opinion of Bekha -15 Points
• Arie tells her, “I wouldn’t really harp on that too much.
• Tia then tells Bekha what she told Arie, and Bekha loses it. -2 Points
•  She runs to Arie like a cranky toddler running to daddy. She sobs in his arms, because Tia hurt her feelings  -2 Points
• Arie consoles her, but it’s at this point, that you can really see the age gap between them. Arie is parenting her, and it’s awkward and weird and not sexy.
• Bekha exclaimed, through tears “I don’t like it when I’m not seen for who I really am!” You’re on TV! Of course some people are going to misjudge you.
•   Kendal (the least dramatic of the three) gets the first rose, and the date becomes a 2-on1  35 Points
• In the end, Tia gets the second rose and the hometown 35 Points
• Bekha was let go, but is anyone really surprised? Bekha was fun, but we all knew this was as far as she was going to get. Arie might have enjoyed dating a 22 year old, but I find it hard to believe he was entertaining the idea of marrying her.
•  Bekha cried during her exit -2 Points
