Hey guys,
This week’s episode didn’t offer much in the way of points
for our pool, but it was a big night for Arie, because it was Hometowns!
Hometown #1:
- First up was Kendall in Los Angeles.
- She brought Arie to a taxidermy warehouse, and had him stuff his own dead rat. Romantic!
- They then proceeded to have a puppet show, with the cadavers. I’ll just leave this image here to haunt you as you sleep…

- At home, Arie met Kendall’s family, including her twin sister, Kylie. Is that really her name? Didn’t Kendall use to work on the set of “Keeping up with the Kardashians”? Who ripped off who here?
- Kendall’s dad grills Arie with questions, but in the end he says he trusts his daughter. If she decides she’s ready to marry Arie, he’ll give his blessing 20 Points
- The real question is, if they DO get married, will the taxidermied rats double as cake toppers?
Hometown #2
- Up next is Tia in Weiner AK.
- She takes Arie racecar driving. (because, Look! She’s interested in his interests!)
- Tia stalled the car right off the bat.
- At home, the family make a toast…with wieners. Is it a town requirement to incorporate wieners into every social gathering
- Both Tia’s brother and father bring up the “kissing bandit” nickname and accuse Arie of being a ladies man. Arie just laughed it off.
- Tia’s dad warned Arie, “If you hurt her, I can find you on Google”
- Again, the dad says he trusts his daughter’s judgement, so if she decides Arie is the one, he’ll support that 20 Points
Hometown #3:
- Becca was next to take Arie home, to Prior Lake.
- They went to an orchard to pick apples
- Becca mentioned her dad who passed away when she was 19 10 Points
- Standing in for her dad would be Becca’s Uncle Gary.
- Knowing the fact that Uncle Gary is a Pastor, I was surprised by how surly he was! Don’t mess with Pastor Gary!
- Becca’s family put Arie through the ringer, but in the end, say that they trust Becca’s judgement. If she’s happy, they’ll support it. 20 Points Hmmmm…I’m starting to see a pattern develop here.
Hometown #4:
- Lauren is last up, to bring Arie home to Virginia Beach
- They rode horses on the beach to a lighthouse
- At home, you could cut the tension with a knife. IT. WAS. AWKWARD!!!
- Lauren’s dad was horrified to learn that Arie is from Fort Lauderdale, but doesn’t play golf.
- Supper was so tense, that Arie felt the need to step away to pat the sweat off his forehead.
- While talking to her mom, Lauren began to cry -2 Points and told her she sees a future with Arie
- Arie was finally able to win Lauren’s dad over by telling him about a trip he took with some other racecar drivers, to Iraq to support the troops there. This seemed to impress Lauren’s dad and he told Arie that he trusts Lauren, and just wants her to be happy. 20 Points 4 for 4 Arie!
Rose Ceremony:
- Arie begins the ceremony, but has something weighing on his mind. He pulls Kendal aside, and she must be crapping herself at this point!
- Arie pushes her to say she’s ready for an engagement, but she doesn’t acquiesce. She simply says she’s falling for him, and she doesn’t want their relationship to end. She ended by saying “I don’t know what else you need from me”
- I mean, it’s only been 8 weeks. Cut the girl some slack.
- Kendall cried while talking to Arie -2 Points
- Back at the rose ceremony, Tia was blindsided and sent home.
- She sobbed during her exit. -2 Points She was heartbroken. Her dad better get his Googling fingers ready
